After completing four years of dental school, Dr. Aaron Gavri entered a top-tier residency program where he completed three extra years of specialty training in orthodontics (the movement of teeth) and dentofacial orthopedics (the guidance of facial development). He is also board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.

Our patient presented with what we call a Class II malocclusion (meaning the bottom teeth were too far behind the top teeth) and a deep bite (check the vertical overlap of the front teeth)! 🦷

To be an orthodontist, Dr. A first had to complete 4 years of Dental school and pass the National Dental Exam to receive his Dental Degree!? 👨🏻🎓🦷
Upon completing those 4 years, he applied for Orthodontic Residency where there is only a 3% acceptance rate!! 🤯
Once accepted, he completed 3 more years of specialized training on Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics! 📖 🫠
After residency, Dr. A had passed the American Board of Orthodontics Oral Exam to become a Board Certified Orthodontist! Only 30% of Orthodontists are Board Certified! 🤓😲
To put his schooling in perspective: 📚
